The agreement

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Ages of Myth ("we", "us") and govern your use of the Ages of Myth mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Privacy is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher age of digital consent in your country, where applicable) to use the Service.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
You must comply with the App Store / Google Play terms that govern your installation in addition to these Terms.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials (and any Apple / Google account used to sign in) secure.
You may not share, sell, transfer, or rent your account, nor allow anyone else to use it.
You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate another person.
One person, one account. We may suspend or terminate duplicate accounts.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Cheat, exploit bugs, use bots, or use unauthorized clients to alter or automate gameplay.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or assets from the Service (except where this right cannot be lawfully waived).
Interfere with, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any part of the Service except via a coordinated security disclosure to security@agesofmyth.com.
Use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against other players.
Use a display name, clan name, or other player-provided text that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing, deceptive, or otherwise objectionable. We may rename or remove such content at our discretion.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or to non-public parts of the Service.
Sell, trade, or transfer virtual items, virtual currency, or accounts for real-world money outside of the official Service flows.

In-app purchases and virtual currency

Some features and items in the Service are available for purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is processed by the store and our merchant-of-record (RevenueCat); we never see your payment instrument or full billing data. Prices include applicable taxes where the store calculates them on our behalf.

Refunds. All purchases are final once the underlying entitlement (card pack, virtual currency, or other digital good) has been delivered to your account, except as required by applicable consumer-protection law and except as the relevant store's refund policy provides. Refund requests must be made through the store (Apple or Google), not to us directly.
No real-world value. Virtual currency, packs, cards, and cosmetic items have no monetary value outside the Service. They cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred between accounts.
License, not property. Purchases grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the in-game entitlement within the Service. You do not own the underlying digital good.
Service availability. We may need to discontinue the Service in the future. If we do, we will provide reasonable advance notice and will follow applicable consumer-protection law regarding pre-paid balances.

Collection, balance, and changes to cards

Ages of Myth is built on a few promises that we treat as binding parts of these Terms:

Collections do not reset. Cards, cosmetic variants, achievements, and account-level progression you have earned or purchased remain on your account.
Competitive rank does reset on a published schedule. Per-season rating soft-resets monthly; weekly clan-war points reset weekly. The schedule is announced in-game.
Balance changes. We may rebalance cards to keep the game healthy. If we nerf a card you own, you may craft / dismantle it for a full refund of its acquisition cost during a "refund window" announced alongside the change.
Free play. The Service is designed so that every card available to paying players is reachable through play. Paying accelerates collection; it is not required to compete.

Game state and server authority

Match outcomes, rating changes, and entitlement grants are computed by our server, which is the authoritative record. Local-client predictions are best-effort UI only. In any conflict between what your device shows and what our server records, the server record prevails. Reasonable adjustments may be made to correct verified bugs or exploits.

Your content

Display names, clan names, and any other text you submit ("User Content") remain yours. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, store, and use it for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service. You represent that you have the necessary rights to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.

Our content

The Service — including card art, sound, music, code, UI, game design, and the "Ages of Myth" name and logo once finalized — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Cultural figures depicted in the game are part of shared human heritage; our specific artistic and game-design treatments are not. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works of our content except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

Updates

We may release updates, patches, balance changes, content additions, and removals from time to time. Some updates may be required to continue using the Service. We may also remove individual cards, features, or cosmetics for legal, technical, or quality reasons; where this happens to a card you own, the refund mechanism described under "Balance changes" applies.

Termination

You may terminate this agreement at any time by deleting your account from within the app. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, collection, decks, ratings, mail, and clan membership; match results survive as anonymized rows.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your conduct harms other players or the Service, if required by law, or if continued operation would expose us to liability. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to respond.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute resolution) survive termination.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against all attacks, or that it will meet your specific expectations. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or virtual items, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) EUR 50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your misuse of the Service.

Apple-specific terms

If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store: you and we acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, and not with Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. You and we acknowledge that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you live in the European Union or another jurisdiction that gives you mandatory consumer protections, nothing in these Terms removes those protections. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the competent courts of Germany, except where mandatory law requires the dispute to be brought in your country of residence.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-game (via the inbox or a sign-in notice) at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should delete your account before the change takes effect.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them as part of a corporate transaction.
These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
